New Trailer & Visual Revealed for Sora to Umi no Aida Anime


They’re fishermen… in space!

Earlier today, an official website opened its doors for the upcoming Sora to Umi no Aida (The Space Between the Sky and the Sea) anime. The site includes a new key visual and a visual for the project.

We break the details down below.

The 90-second promo cuts between several clips of animation, as a narrator relays the major plot points.

Key Visual

The new visual features the six leads, seated on their space pod. The earth can be seen in the bottom right corner of the frame.

Sora to Umi no Aida Anime Visual

Sora to Umi no Aida hits Japanese TV this October.

Atsushi Nigorikawa (Love Tyrant, Anime De Training! Ex) will direct the series at TMS Entertainment, with Shuuhei Yamamoto (Anime De Training! Ex, Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar) providing character designs. Takashi Yamada (Ojamajo Doremi, Captain Tsubasa J) is in charge of series composition on the project.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Makoto Mitsurugi: Ai Kōsaka
  • Ruby Azumi: Honoka Inoue
  • Haru Soramachi: Karin Takahashi
  • Makiko Maki: Maori Komeno
  • Maiko Sakura: Momoko Suzuki
  • Namino Murakami: Rika Tachibana

All six cast members are reprising their roles from the original smartphone game.

Sora to Umi no Aida began its life as a smartphone game by ForwardWorks. The title hit app stores in Japan on September 28, 2017, and a Windows version is slated to hit digital storefronts this year.
