Earlier today, the official Love Live! website updated with a new poster visual for Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow. The image features Hanamaru posing before the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow hits Japanese theaters on January 9. The film was officially unveiled on July 8, during the “Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours 3rd Love Live! Tour ~ Wonderful Stories ~” event.
Love Live! Sunshine!! is the latest entry in the Love Live! School Idol Project franchise. Kazuo Sakai (Mushi-Uta) helmed the project at Sunrise. Yūhei Murota and Jukki Hanada both reprised their roles on the project as character designer and series composition, respectively.
Funimation currently holds the domestic rights to Love Live! Sunshine!! The company describes Love Live! Sunshine!! as:
