Laidbackers Anime Movie Gets First Trailer & Key Visual


On January 3, the Laidbackers anime movie’s official website updated with a new trailer and visual, as well as details on the film’s main theme song.

We break the details down below.

Trailer

The minute-long promo introduces the film’s major plot points, with character dialogue providing the major story beats.

Key Visual

The image features the major cast members standing in front of an exploding palace. Lead character Harami Mitsuno is front and center, holding a wrench.

Virtual YouTuber Kizuna Ai will perform the movie’s theme song.

Laidbackers will hit Japanese theaters on April 5. The feature will get a two-week engagement.

Kiyomitsu Sato will serve as chief director on the project, with Hiroyuki Hashimoto (Is the order a rabbit?, Magical Girl Raising Project) taking the director’s chair at Studio Gokumi. Kei Tsuchiya (Shōnen Hollywood, Aruvu Rezuru – Kikai Jikake no Yōsei-tachi) is providing character designs, while Makoto Uezu (Assassination Classroom, Yuki Yuna Is a Hero) writes the script.
