Isekai Cheat Magician Anime Gets New Trailer, 2 Cast Members

Earlier today, the official Isekai Cheat Magician anime website updated with a new trailer and a pair of cast members. We break the details down below.

Trailer

The 110-second promo introduces the main plot elements through character dialogue and quick animation cuts. Theme song Panta Rhei by MYTH&ROID kicks in as a background track at the 58-second mark.

Cast

The series will add the following:

  • Kasim: Hiro Shimono
  • Grami: Yōko Hikasa

Visuals for both characters were also revealed, which you can check out below.

Isekai Cheat Magician will hit Japanese TV on July 10. The full premiere schedule is as follows (All times JST):

  • AT-X: 7/10/2019 at 22:00 (7/10/2019 at 10:00PM)
  • Tokyo MX: 7/10/2019 at 25:35 (7/11/2019 at 1:35AM)
  • KBS Kyoto: 7/10/2019 at 25:35 (7/11/2019 at 1:35AM)
  • TV Aichi: 7/11/2019 at 26:05 (7/12/2019 at 2:05AM)
  • Sun TV: 7/10/2019 at 26:00 (7/11/2019 at 2:00AM)
  • BS11: 7/12/2019 at 25:00 (7/13/2019 at 1:00AM)

Isekai Cheat Magician Anime Visual -Daisuke Tsukushi will direct the project at Encourage Films, with Shuji Maruyama (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s) providing character designs. Takayo Ikami (Yurikuma Arashi, Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation) is in charge of series composition.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Taichi Nishimura: Kōhei Amasaki
  • Rin Azuma: Rie Takahashi
  • Myura: Minami Tanaka
  • Lemia: Sayaka Ohara
  • Aerial: Yurika Kubo

Isekai Cheat Magician began as a light novel series by Takeru Uchida and illustrator Nardack, which launched under Kadokawa’s main imprint on June 28, 2013. Eight volumes have been released to date, with the most recent hitting stores on May 31, 2018.

The manga adaptation debuted in Kadokawa’s Shonen Ace magazine in 2016. To date, three volumes have been released, with the latest shipping to retailers on April 26, 2018.

Manga resource Baka-Updates describes the title as:

As regular high school students Taichi and Rin disappeared in a beam of light. When they came to, the two of them were already in a world of swords and magic. Finally getting away after experiencing an attack by monsters, following the suggestion of adventurers they headed on the path towards the guild. In the guild, the two of them found out that they possessed unbelievably powerful magic. Thus the regular high school students transformed into the strongest cheats…
