Move over, Miia, Papi, and Centorea. There’s a new batch of monster girls in town!
Yesterday, Aniplex opened a teaser site to announce that an anime adaptation of Petosu’s Interviews with Monster Girls (Demi-chan wa Kataritai) was greenlit for production.
A “flying get” report has been making its rounds through Japanese news sites, including Otakomu and Yaraon! The report includes a first visual for the series, as well as the initial crew involved in production.
Ryo Ando will direct the project at A-1 Pictures, with Tetsuya Kawakami (The Asterisk War, Nanana’s Buried Treasure) providing character designs. Takao Yoshioka (Elfen Lied, High School DxD) is in charge of series composition. Other crew members include:

Interviews with Monster Girls will begin airing in January 2017. Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11 are confirmed to be carrying the series. More details will be announced in the next issue of Kodansha’s Young Magazine the 3rd (Volume 10), which hits retailers on September 6.
A Twitter account for the series (demichan_anime) was also opened, though it’s currently Retweeting from other news sources as of press time. Petotsu posted an announcement illustration on Twitter, which links to the anime’s Twitter feed:

Interviews with Monster Girls began publication in Young Magazine the 3rd in September 2014. The series currently spans three collected volumes, the most recent of which hit retailers on March 18. The fourth volume will hit stores on September 20.
Kodansha comics currently holds the domestic rights to Interviews with Monster Girls, which will begin publication on November 1. They describe the series as:
Monsters of legend walk among us, going by the name “demi-humans.” Ever since he’s discovered the “demis,” one young man has become obsessed with them. So when he gets a job as a teacher at a high school for demi-girls, it’s a dream come true! But these demis, who include a rambunctious vampire, a bashful headless girl, and a succubus, have all the problems normal teenagers have, on top of their supernatural conditions. How to handle a classroom full of them?!
