Sentai Filmworks to Host Super Sonico Dub Premiere At Anime Matsuri

Anime Matsuri is about to host an event that’s just plain Super. Sonico.

Crud.

Earlier today, Sentai Filmworks announced that they will show the English dub première of SoniAni: Super Sonico the Animation. The series originally ran on Japanese TV during the Winter 2014 anime season.

Sentai announced that they licensed the series in early 2014. In January, the company announced that cosplayer Jessica Nigri will play the role of Sonico.

In addition to the première, Sentai will host live auditions for Parasyte -the maxim-. Sentai Filmworks will host an open audition for minor roles. Those who are selected will win a chance to visit Sentai Filmworks’s headquarters to record their role.

This year, Anime Matsuri will be held from April 3-5, the same weekend as Anime Boston and Sakura-Con.
