Hulu To Stream Gatchaman CROWDS insight Episode 0

On Friday, the Gatchaman Crowds insight website updated with an announcement that Hulu will stream an exclusive episode of the series. The episode, titled “Episode #0 Inbound,” is described as followed:

Summer of 2015. The incident that occurred in Tachikawa, only known as the “Tachikawa Incident” by Tokyo.

It’s been one year since then… CROWDS, the system that gives physical form to humans’ inner strength which was given to Rui Ninomiya by Berg Katze after extracting Rui’s NOTE, has spread through the public as something open to anybody. The man who approved and championed this plan was none other than Prime Minister Seitaro Sugayama.

Those who think ill of CROWDS are now living with dissatisfaction and anxiety, though. Amid the unease, one day, a mysterious organization attacks Sugayama as he’s riding in a ministry vehicle.

The next battle for the winged warriors begins now.

Episode #0 will hit Hulu on June 20, with the show proper airing in July.

In addition to Episode #0’s unveiling, the show’s cast revealed that rock group White Ash will return to perform insight, which will be used as the opening theme. Angry Rock Rebirth will handle the ending with the song 6 Billion Wings (60 Oku no Tsubasa).

White Ash provided the opening theme for the original Gatchaman CROWDS, “Crowds”.

Gatchaman Crowds insight was first announced in October 2014. Japanese website Mantan revealed that the series was in the works at the time, though the first real information wouldn’t come until months later.
