Ajin – Demi-Human Gets 1/16/2016 Premiere

Ajin Demi-Human Key Visual 001Beware, the demi human approaches!

Earlier today, the Ajin – Demi-Human anime staff announced that the anime TV series will kick off on January 16, 2015. The show will air on MBS, CBC, and TBS when it hits the airwaves.

In addition, the team revealed that Mamoru Miyano, who is cast as Kei Naga in the series, will perform the show’s ending theme song.

Ajin – Demi-Human is being adapted into a feature film trilogy, as well as an anime TV series. Both the film and show will be produced by the same team, which is being led by chief director Hiroyuki Seshita. Hiroaki Ando will direct the feature, while Yuki Moriyama will serve as character designer.

Polygon Pictures, who also produced the Knights of Sidonia anime series, will animate both the films and the TV show.

Last month, we reported that Netflix acquired the domestic rights to the Ajin – Demi-Human TV series. The service will simulcast the series in Japan, with episodes hitting three days after their première dates. The show will hit all markets outside of Japan in mid-2016.
