On February 18, fans across the globe will be able to experience the launch of Ordinal Scale.
Yesterday, Kadokawa announced that upcoming film Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale will receive a global release. According to Kadokawa, the feature will be “simultaneously released worldwide on February 18, 2017.”
Earlier this year, the film’s staff announced that Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale will run in 1,000 locations across the globe.
Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale movie was first unveiled at the Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival on October 4, 2015. Tomohiko Itō is directing the feature at A-1 Pictures, with character designs by Shingo Adachi. Series creator Reki Kawahara is penning the film’s story.
The confirmed voice cast includes:

- Asuna Yūki: Haruka Tomatsu
- Rika Shinozaki/Lizbeth: Ayahi Takagaki
- Suguha Kirigaya/Leafa: Ayana Taketatsu

- Andrew Gilbert Mills/Agil: Hiroki Yasumoto
- Yui: Kanae Itō
- Shino Asada/Sinon: Miyuki Sawashiro
- Keiko Ayano/Silica: Rina Hidaka
- Akihiko Kayaba: Kouichi Yamadera
Aniplex of America announced that will give the film a North American theatrical run in spring 2017. They described the feature as:
