Voltron: Legendary Defender Seasons 3 & 4 to Hit Netflix in 2017


You read that right, folks. It’s a double-dose of Voltron this fall!

Earlier today, the staff of Dreamworks Animation Television and Netflix’s Voltron: Legendary Defender hosted a panel at Comic-Con International. At the event, the team announced that the show’s third and fourth seasons will air this year.

Season 3, which will run for seven episodes, is slated to première in August. Season 4 will launch in October.

In addition, the crew revealed that A.J. Locascio will voice Prince Lotor. they also introduced four half-Galra female generals who will support him.

Dreamworks describes the third season of Voltron: Legendary Defender as:

The success of Zarkon’s defeat comes at a price: Shiro has vanished. With the ascension of the mysterious Prince Lotor and without a pilot for the black lion, the team must somehow find the strength to keep fighting. But how can they defend the universe without Voltron? Find out when all-new episodes of Voltron Legendary Defender come to Netflix, August 4.

Voltron: Legendary Defender is a co-production between Netflix and DreamWorks. The project reboots the classic anime adaptation, which originally hit the airwaves in 1984. Studio Mir, which is best known for its work on Legend of Korra, animated the project.

The second season hit Netflix on January 20. Netflix confirmed that a third season was in the works on April 4.
