Joking aside, Shueisha’s V-Jump magazine recently announced that Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama will team up with Dragon Ball Heroes author Toyotarō to produce a manga adaptation of Dragon Ball Super. The title will run in V-Jump startng with the August issue, with Toriyama handling the story, and Toyotarō serving as illustrator.
Earlier today, V-Jump unveiled Toyotarō’s design for Goku:
Dragon Ball Super was first unveiled by Toei in April. The anime series is currently in production, and on track for a July première. Toriyama is writing the story, while Kamisama Kiss director Kimitoshi Chioka will direct.
