Cannon Busters’ LeSean Thomas To Attend Anime Expo 2015


Anime Expo LogoEarlier today, Anime Expo announced that Satelight’s Thomas Romain (Space Dandy) and LeSean Thomas (Cannon Busters, Legend of Korra) will attend the convention as guests.

Cannon Busters Production 008 - 20141117At Anime Expo, Thomas and Romain will host a panel that focuses on Cannon Busters. The event will include a brief look at the project and a Q&A session. The two will also participate in autograph sessions.

Cannon Busters is based on LeSean Thomas’s comic book series of the same name. The title is a self-described “action-adventure dramedy,” which was written by the team of LeSean Thomas and Eric Calderon (Afro Samurai).

Joe Madureira (Darksiders) is providing the character designs, and Thomas Romain is filling the role of Mechanical Designer.

Cannon Busters was first revealed to the public through its KickStarter drive, which ran from November 3 through December 3, 2014. The feature brought in a total of $156,535 during its run.

On April 7, the official Cannon Busters KickStarter page confirmed that the title officially entered production at Satelight. Since the announcement, LeSean Thomas has been working in Tokyo to aid in production, and serve as director for the project.
